Replicating the Slim Look legacy from the 60s, the French fashion house’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection campaign was shown with enthusiasm and freshness with brand ambassador Jisoo.
Representing a new generation of fashion icons, Jisoo has brought her radiant energy into each film. Not rushing like strides on the catwalk, Jisoo confidently moves to the rhythm of colours and emulates the message of the cut. With Dior’s trendy designs, just a white space is enough to dance with the original soul and personality.
The 60s, an era six decades ago, was at the same time a youthful period unprecedented in the history of fashion. Designs that break the norm are constantly being released. Short-cut dresses, women’s suits, and “massive” jewellery overwhelm the face, and the “fever” of high-knee boots has turned the tide. In particular, Marc Bohan’s creation of Slim Look with the elegance and nobility emanating from the figure is the “seismic” that still resonates to this day.
STAR & STYLEJISOO (BLACKPINK) – THE NEW GENERATION Muse of FASHION DIOR
The most flowery words can be gathered into a long list when defining Lady Dior. However, it is never complete without becoming mischievous, cheerful, and optimistic. More colour is needed to bold this allure. The colours yellow, orange, green, and blue are highlighted as fresh as a source of new vitality.
This collection is the response of girls from the past. The designs are full of classic breath, can be modest in the black and white colour palette but do not just frame yourself in body-hugging shapes and longing for freedom. Even if you “give up” on curves, the charm is still shown through full feminine details such as a bow tie, camisole or graceful A-line skirt.
The pop spirit is also evident through fresher variations for the Lady Dior bag in lemon yellow and the dynamic Dior Vibe bag in the shape of a backpack. All recreate the bustling atmosphere of the Italian art movement of the 1960s and the never-ending excitement of the legendary disco club – Piper Club.
